ApexForge ("we", "our", or "the app") is a fitness and workout tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Information you provide directly in the app may include:
ApexForge does not require you to create an online account. There is no cloud login or cross-device sync in the current version.
We use the information above to:
Your data is stored locally on your Android device using on-device app storage and a local database. Profile photos and progress photos are saved in the app's private files directory on your device.
Because data is stored locally, reinstalling the app, clearing app storage, or switching devices will remove your saved profile and workout history unless you back up your device through your phone's system backup settings.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your saved profile, photos and workout history are primarily stored on your device. Connected coaching requests are sent through our service to a third-party AI provider as described below; ApexForge does not provide account-based cloud storage or cross-device recovery of your training records.
If you use Apex Coach, requests can include your message and relevant conversation history, display name, training goal, experience level, equipment, training preferences, scheduled session, workout counts and consistency information. Recent exercise and session feedback, including notes, may also be included (up to 12 eligible ratings from the last 30 days). Requests pass through our service to a third-party AI provider (currently xAI) to generate replies. Avoid entering sensitive information you do not want processed by those services.
If you choose to send a weekly review, the request can additionally include selected saved session and exercise summaries, logged sets, repetitions, external weights or durations, comparisons with earlier matching exercises, and optional self-reported energy and recovery. These recorded training details can be sent even though the complete training database remains on your device. Profile photos, progress photos, and stored body measurements such as body weight, height and body-fat percentage are not automatically attached to coaching requests. Information you type into a message or note is sent as part of that text.
Home can also request a short coaching tip automatically. That request includes your training goal, experience level, planned workouts per week, streak, workout counts, and today's session. It may also include equipment, session adaptations and recent training feedback and notes. It does not automatically include your display name. You can turn this off in Profile; when it is off, Home uses an on-device tip instead of requesting one from the AI service. This setting does not disable coaching requests you deliberately send elsewhere in the app.
If you allow Health Connect, ApexForge may write a completed workout to Health Connect on your device as an exercise session and an estimated calories-burned record. Other apps you have approved in Health Connect may then read that data. You can deny or later revoke this permission. Uninstalling ApexForge does not always remove records already written to Health Connect; you can delete those in Health Connect or Android settings.
Possible third-party services include:
ApexForge can be used with a Google Play subscription that starts with a free trial. Google Play charges the price shown in the purchase sheet when the trial ends, and the plan renews until you cancel. Cancel in Google Play subscriptions at least 24 hours before the trial or renewal date to avoid the next charge. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. Resetting your profile on the device does not cancel it either.
ApexForge may request the following permissions. All except Internet are optional:
ApexForge processes fitness information on your device such as weight, height, body-fat estimates, workout history, logged sets, RPE, duration, and training volume. This is used only to provide training plans, progress tracking, and coaching inside the app.
When you opt in to Health Connect, ApexForge writes:
ApexForge does not read Health Connect data. It does not write heart rate, steps, sleep, or medical records. ApexForge is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
You can delete your app data by:
When deleted locally, your profile, workouts, and photos are removed from the app on that device.
ApexForge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help you remove it from the device.
We take reasonable steps to protect information stored on your device through standard Android app sandboxing and local storage practices. No method of storage is 100% secure, so please keep your device protected with a screen lock and current security updates.
Because data is stored on your device, it remains under your control on the device you use. If future versions introduce online accounts or cloud sync, this policy will be updated before those features launch.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We will provide notice of material changes where required and obtain consent where applicable. An update to this page does not itself supply consent for new uses of your information.
